Are You Made For Each other
The couple was walking on the sidewalk. They looked to be completely soaked up with one another. They were not talking to one another, but a peek at them could tell that they were in deep love and were made for each other.Flirting is the sole way to open the door to a romantic relationship with somebody you do not know and might not otherwise ever see again. What is this magical quality of being made for each other? What qualities does this sort of relationship have? Are all of the choices same? Or as we say in science, opposites attract. So that the selections are totally different? Will a pair having different decisions in each aspect love each other or fight over the choices? We will say that at least almost all of the options should be terribly common. If I say that my partner and I are made for one another, what I must mean is this – he/she’s the right person for me.There isn’t any other person in the world other than him/her who can make a better couple with me.We are happiest being together and our happiness comes from our relationship.
Are selections the sole factor that matter in our life? Is it enough if my diet habits, my dressing decisions, my color preferences, my weather preferences and all my other likings are same as my partner, we are made for each other? Is that all to the relationship supposed to be made for each other? There must be something more? What can be that? Let us find out .
Love for one another, a deep craving for others body, heart and words and a sense of deep satisfaction that is derived when the couple is together. The couple has only one desire to share everything, each thought and each emotion. The primary life goal – make and keep the partner contented and feel happy in his/her contentment.Whenever we look at a mummy with her kid, we never say they are made for each other, but they share a bond that’s really deep.If a pair can somehow share that kind of bond, it can be called ‘made for each other’.

What is luck?

- Image via Wikipedia
Some things in life can never be influenced. The place one was born in, for example, is fixed in history. You may feel it was lucky to be born into a wealthy, stable, loving family environment, or unlucky to have been born as a gnat. Or not. But no sane person would expect a lucky charm to change things that have happened in the past.
Accidents happen, good or bad, and certain people are accidentally caught up in those circumstances. That is chance. Or luck, if you prefer that word – it means the same. As irrational as it may be, the accident becomes personal and the person feels lucky (or unlucky).
If a person really does want good luck – and let’s be honest, who doesn’t? – then we need to find the source of luck and try to understand it. Otherwise, throwing salt over our shoulder is a waste of time. And salt.
Whatever ‘luck’ is, this cause of accidents that becomes personal, it is certainly not an entity that we can control with mere symbols. We are talking about a spiritual essence that needs a spiritual response from ourselves if we wish to influence its direction. And for a religious person, this obviously points to prayer.
Prayer can be accompanied by a ‘lucky charm’, be it a rosary, a cross, location, time of day, etc. But these are merely props or prompts. The prayer must come from the heart of the person. A lucky charm has no supplicating ability to pray on our behalf.
Some argue that certain items (relics for example), or rituals (Holy Communion for example) are blessed. Sceptics dismiss this since such things have no soul to be occupied spiritually. And the debate goes on. At a lower level of thought are the mass-produced ‘lucky charms’ sold at inflated prices to people who believe such items holding mystical power, without thinking just when and where in the manufacturing process any mystical power might be infused.
An expensive gem encrusted cross is as powerless as one made from straw. Hail Marys will not improve one’s fortune, neither will observing Ramadan, Feng shui-ing the furniture arrangement in your bedroom, being vegetarian, being circumcised, teetotal, or following any of the host of other things we feel led to observe. At best they are placebos, encouraging a more positive outlook that helps to recognize and seize good opportunities that present themselves.

Superstitions and the “Truth” Behind Them:

Superstitions and the “Truth” Behind Them: By Meagan McCall
Superstitions grow out of man’s attempts to explain the unknown. Do you consider yourself to be superstitious? Are you one of many who carry around a rabbit foot for good luck, avoid stepping on cracks in the sidewalk for fear of parental injury, search for defective four leaf clovers, change direction upon viewing a walking black cat, wait until already standing outside in the rain to open an umbrella, and walk around ladders instead of simply walking straight under them? What made you start believing that these superstitions should be obeyed? How did they begin on their journey into the consciousness of human beings?
Rabbit’s Foot:
Some people attempt to detect reasoning behind sudden success or a positive outcome. They say that it is because they are wearing their lucky underwear or they woke up on the right side of the bed that morning. Just because a few things went right that day, they will choose a particular object and call it “lucky.” This is how the carrying around a rabbit foot for good luck was likely started; ancient European Celts held the rabbit to be a sacred animal for its abilities in the field of reproduction. The Celts believed that rabbits were symbols of reproduction with high success rates, health, and prosperity, all qualities that humans desire. The good luck charm was therefore passed down through the generations.
Ladder:
Many believers, from young children to house painters, avoid walking under a ladder for fear of receiving bad luck. There is, however, a logical reason behind this superstition. The person walking under the ladder could accidentally hit it or bump it with their arm by mistake, causing the nails, paint, or person using the ladder to be knocked off. Such an accident would be dangerous to their health and anyone on the ground within crushing distance.
Mirrors:
The superstition of 7 years of bad luck following the breaking of a mirror can be traced to ancient Rome, where glass mirrors were first created. However, just because the Romans invented mirrors does not mean that they should spread irrational stories to make people use extra caution around the objects. The Romans and Greeks believed that mirrors reflected the user’s soul; therefore if the echoing image was destroyed or distorted, this could mean a corruption or breaking of the person. The most logical reason for why this myth is spread is that mirrors are expensive to replace and that the small shatters of glass may get into someone’s eye when they bounce off of the floor. The shattered pieces may even remain on the floor, waiting to stab an unsuspecting bare foot.
Umbrella:
The superstition that it is bad luck to open an umbrella indoors is heard by many children in elementary school on rainy days and continues on by word of mouth. Teachers do not correct their students, who pass on these myths, because they know that an umbrella opened in close corders could accidentally hit someone in the eye. It can also knock over a nearby object (such as a fancy vase that would only be indoors, never outside), because the user did not realize the span of the umbrella.
Wishbones:
Most people don’t like finding bones in the chicken they are about to eat, but one bone that is an exception to this rule is the wishbone. The superstition is that, to have a wish come true when breaking a wish bone, two people take hold of one end of the bone and pull until it separates; the person with the longer end gets to make a wish and have it come true.

12 Step Program For Negative Thinkers
I received an email from a woman recently who mentioned that she is a “Recovering Negative Thinker”. Reading this brought up images of support groups and 12 Step Programs. Gee…I'm sure one already exists, I thought.
After searching Google I realized that there just isn't a good 12 Step program for all of those Negative Thinkers out there. Clearly, it's time.
- I admit I have power over Negative Thoughts and that these Negative Thoughts make me feel like crap.
- I believe that a Power Greater Than Myself (PGTM) can certainly help, especially since I haven't done such a hot job.
- I make a decision to turn my will and my life over to the care of this PGTM as I understand it/him/her. I hope this works.
- I agree to look within and take full responsibility for my life and thoughts. Even when I don't want to.
- I admit to my Power, Friends and Everyone that thinking Negative Thoughts serves no useful purpose, and has been the cause of of much physical and emotional pain.
- I am NOW ready to think better and happier thoughts. Really.
- I humbly ask that my friends remind me gently when I begin speaking negatively. If this doesn't work, please yell.
- I make a list of all the people and groups I have blamed for all the bad things that have happened to me, and am willing to take responsibility for my life.
- I am aware of all Negative Thoughts that are in my mind and I find ways to eliminate them or replace them. I know that my Thoughts act like powerful magnets and I choose to be in charge of what I'm attracting.
- I continue to be aware of the words that come out of my mouth and shift them to positive thoughts except when impossible. (for example, when speaking about politics and ex- in-laws)
- I agree to check myself every hour or so to make sure that Negative Thoughts are not floating in my head.
- Having had a spiritual awakening as to the power of my thoughts, I carry this message to others and to practice these principles in all areas of my life.
- I like the idea that the number “13? can be as lucky as a 4 leaf clover, and to always remember how much I really enjoy my life when my thoughts feel better.
