Good Luck Jewelry For Friday the 13th – The Stir (blog)
Make sure you dodge black cats, look out for ladders, and don’t break any mirrors — today is Friday the 13th!
Even if you’re not haunted by the superstition that comes one to three times a year, you might want to be prepared — just in case. But fashionably, of course.
From top left, clockwise:
Dreamcatcher earrings: In Native American culture, dreamcatchers are supposed to catch the bad dreams of those who wear the tear-shaped objects.
Four-leaf clover: Find a four-leaf clover in a sea of clovers and you’ll have good luck. Or wear it in a cute necklace.
Coin earrings: See a penny, pick it up, all day long you’ll have good luck.
Wishbone necklace: We used to fight over the wishbone at the dinner table when I was a kid — not exactly the sexiest tradition. But this necklace takes the carcass and makes it classy.
Rainbow bracelet: If you spot a rainbow in the sky, it’s supposed to bring good luck.
Horsehoe necklace: Blacksmithing used to be considered a lucky trade, so since horseshoes were made by blacksmiths, people hung them on the wall for good luck.
Ladybug charm: A ladybug landing on you is good luck, but don’t flick it off … that’ll bring bad luck.
Are you taking any precautions today? Have any good luck jewelry?
